Voice lessons in St. Thomas at Bee Music Studios are offered for students ages 14 and older. Whether you dream of performing on stage, singing in a choir, preparing for musical theatre, or simply enjoying music more fully, lessons are designed to help you sing with confidence and ease.

I believe that every voice is unique. Lessons are tailored to your individual goals, musical interests, and level of experience, creating a supportive environment where you can develop strong vocal technique while enjoying the process of making music.

Lessons for Every Singer

Teens and Musical Theatre Students

Students develop a strong foundation in pitch, rhythm, breath support, and vocal technique while building confidence for auditions, performances, and school productions.

Band and Contemporary Vocalists

Whether you sing rock, country, pop, Christian music, or contemporary styles, lessons focus on healthy vocal production, range, stamina, and expressive performance.

Choir Members and Recreational Singers

Voice lessons can help improve tone, breath control, ear training, sight-singing, and overall vocal confidence, whether you sing in a school choir, church choir, community ensemble, or simply for your own enjoyment.

Adult Beginners

Many adults have always wanted to sing better but have never had the opportunity to take lessons. Voice lessons provide a relaxed, encouraging space to develop your voice at a comfortable pace.

A Healthy Approach to Singing

After more than four decades of professional performance, I understand the challenges singers often face, including vocal fatigue, strain, limited range, and a lack of confidence. My teaching combines practical performing experience with extensive study of vocal technique and vocal health.

Rather than relying on a single method, I draw from a variety of respected contemporary and classical vocal approaches to help students find a healthy, sustainable way of singing that works for their own voice.

What Students and Families Are Saying

★★★★★
"The great thing about Susan is, that she not only knows exactly how the voice works, she is able to combine many different techniques to get you to the sound you want to produce! She is able to explain very well and can give you good visuals to get a better understanding of everything. Susan wants you to really understand what you’re doing and why you need to be doing it!"

Vanessa, singer/songwriter

★★★★★
"Susan has improved the strength and tone of my head voice, and she has taught me how to increase my range. I’m reaching my higher notes with ease. I am now hitting my third bridge and learning how to use it without strain."

Bob M.

★★★★★
"When I started taking singing lessons with Susan 6 yrs ago I was very shy, my voice was not very strong, and I didn’t know how to control it very well. Over the years I have gained so much confidence in myself and my voice. I feel that I have a lot more control. Susan has taught me so much and it has been a wonderful experience."
